Tiger Brokers Singapore, a brokerage, has teamed up with the Singapore Exchange in a drive to cultivate a new generation of investment professionals, trained and licensed to help clients navigate SGX’s product suite.

SGX and Tiger Brokers will build a specialised curriculum focused on delivering Specified Investment Products (SIPs) training. The partnership runs alongside efforts of the Remisiers Development Programme – an initiative led by the Society of Remisiers (Singapore) and the Securities Association of Singapore.

The collaboration also builds on the momentum of the brokerage's Tiger “L E A P” (Learn, Experience, Achieve, Perform) Programme – a six-month training initiative launched in February to nurture aspiring “Tiger Investment Representatives.” The programme attracted more than 300 applicants; the first cohort of candidates began training in April.

"This collaboration allows us to leverage our experience and infrastructure to nurture a new generation of client advisors who are not only well-versed in the evolving needs of investors, but also fully equipped to guide them through the increasingly sophisticated landscape of SGX’s advanced product offerings,” Ian Leong, CEO of Tiger Brokers Singapore, said.

In May last year, Tiger Brokers launched a new offering for HNW clients.
